Michael Goodman, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Emory University School of Public Health. He holds two graduate degrees: a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Kaunas Medical University in his native Lithuania and a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Georgia and is board certified in Pediatrics and in Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Goodman’s areas of research include causes of cancer as well as cancer prevention and cancer survivorship. He is particularly interested in learning how dietary and genetic factors combine in producing the disease in humans and in comparing cancer treatment and prognosis in urban and rural areas. In addition to his research activities, Dr Goodman is actively involved in teaching. He also serves as a research advisor to physicians at various departments of the Emory University School of Medicine.
